Burning the Clocks
Brighton
Brighton's winter solstice lantern parade. Thousands of people carry handmade paper and willow lanterns through the city centre to the beach, where the lanterns are passed into a huge bonfire, followed by a fire show and fireworks. It is usually held on 21 December, and Same Sky, which runs it, says it returns in 2026 after a year off in 2025.
